Hossein Nili is a cinematographer and director based in Berlin. He builds an image around a single source of light and the mood it carries, working across fashion film and narrative.
His recent films lean on tungsten warmth and deep shadow. The camera stays patient, waiting for the moment a face gives something away, then holding a beat longer than comfort allows.
He moves between studio fashion and intimate narrative with the same eye for tone and texture, and treats the apparatus of a shoot as part of the picture rather than something to hide.
